do you mean simpler in the wings or in the actual back design

and personally I think it needs some type of corner design, or else i don't think it would look very good in a fan.

This is something else I have been working on but my brain can't comprehend how to put an "E" into this design

The wings. T11 Guardian cards look like crap. When you hold one up close, they are terrible. Why? Too complicated of a design makes for a gritty, grainy looking printed card. The wings need to be simplified.I think it would be cool to see a half angel half devil wing set. The right is the devil, the left is the angel, done like that on both sides to keep the one-way design. It might not look good, but I like the idea.

Keep developing the new idea. I'd like to see where it goes.

Hey guys...

I have been racking my brain...thinking..a lot.

So, I wanted to throw something at you guys before I put too much time into it.

For a theme. (came from Lyle's Angel devil wing idea.)

A Gargoyle themed deck. It would be a fun idea to play with. They would fit in the corners, winged in the middle and maybe some heads at the center display.

I love the idea.

FYI....

Seeker found a company that sells much smaller amounts of playing cards without sacraficing any quality. They are quite a bit more, but STILL! haha..

Lets kick it up a notch .... Show everyone what we got!

I think generally "dramatic" gargoyles would fit the bill. Trying to make things look scary would either A)Put some people off or B) Look cheesy, not scary.

I'll look into drawing up and refining a gargoyle design, it sounds like it could have potential!

I actually like the M!

As for the Garg. idea. I like the idea of "Dramatic" one. I like the idea because they are mythical creatures, very dark and Magical in their own right. I don't think we should go for a BLACK or DARK deck. Maybe a gray or (if you have the white arcane's from E) that spotted gray kind of feel.

I think they would be a nice twist insted of "Angels" and "Demons." It's not an imp either. It's meaner, more gritty, more commonly weird.

OOOOH, the more I talk about it...the more cool it comes to me.
Maybe a smokey "Rock" feeling.
Hmmm.

Then again, I liked the design when I put it togeather.....The one with a hint of red is nice.

Simple.

thanks Jacob.

About the Gargoyle idea, again I know I'm new here but I like the idea about going with a card that is white with very little added color. Thats just what I think. I may be wrong in what everyone wants, but I think they would look the best white with a few gray tones.

Ok. Ihad to add to this post. I was looking through pictures of gargoyles and I saw a picture of like some stone midevil statue type things. what would you think about something like that? this is the picture I saw--

Gargoyle01aweb.jpg

I also saw another picture of a gargoyle that would look kind of cool as a corner design with some tweeking.

Gargoyle.jpg

This could be another good idea to get a corner design( not like this one but something around this idea). And have the water going toward the center design.

New idea. Tell me what to work on. I know it needs color, I'm leaving that up to the graphic designer. The Gargoyles aren't really drawn all that well . . .YET. I didn't want to take all that time if you guys hated the idea. I threw in the peacock feathers just to get some type of swirly stuff on the card and its what I have saved to the computer already.

anyway here it is. criticisim welcome.

gargoyle card design.JPG

I was just looking at pictures of angel and devil wings and thought of the idea of having the card in fourths and on fourth being angel wings with a light grey-ish background and on the fourth next to the angel part do the photo negative in colors (but have the background fade from light grey to dark grey) with a devil wing instead of angel. then the other side would be the same just diagonal from each other.

Wow, you are going full force with this Sam. I love it!

I can't wait to see what Brandon has up his sleeve too.

I like the corner idea you have in your first post. That would be cool.

Here is what I have on my mind.
A gray card with white boarder. The Corners have a horned gargoyle head with his arms stretched out to form the corners...the board follows his arms. His tongue would be out.
The gray inside of the boarder would have a brick look to it. Like an old castle style. This would allow texture.
And the middle would be Two perched Gargoyles with wings slighly opened. Maybe a circle between them made from chains that happen to be around the two perched gargoyles as well. And in the middle...a picture of me.

Not really, the middle I am undecided about.

Possible head idea:

Corner gargoyle:
(This would be him, but not the right position in the picture)

I think with the middle it would be cool to have like a collar with a chain on it around the gargoyles neck then it would hang down and then have a circle in the middle with whatever and then the chain would go to the other garoyles collar.
