ExoMagic card colour scheme

I will make a card design in the near future...
at the moment I'm really busy... so there's no time for that... but in the next 2-3 weeks I'll probably present my design...

I still believe that signing is very very important...

i always tell the spectators that they can keep the card as a souvenir...
sometimes they even ASK me if they can keep it and most of the people really keep it...

last week i met a guy who i performed for 6 months ago...
he proudly presented me the half piece of that signed card i gave him...
he always had it with him... the other half kept his friend...

no spectator would keep a unsigned card...


furthermore i like white cards most :-)

Wow, there's a lot of different views out there. If you haven't voted already, please do! The poll is too close right now to decide, but as I'm typing this, white is in first place, followed by vintage, then black, then gray.

Okay... Since I'm not entirely sure how to change the poll to make it have a time limit (you'd think it'd be under go advanced, but...), I'm just going to say a date.

Let's say... 10 days from now? is that good? Okay, so on April 18th, that'll be when the poll closes. Note that the winner of the poll does not necessarily win, but maybe we can narrow it down to two or three instead of four. Everyone okay with that?

You know, I've never actually seen gray cards (except maybe from overuse). It'd be a unique concept. Maybe if you made it a kinda industrial, post-modernish thing. (I actually have no idea what post-modern means, but it sounded about right for the context.)

As mainly a card-worker myself, I demand versatility as well as quality.

I doubt quality will be an issue... Am I right in thinking we're expecting a stock of similar longevity as Tally's? Or are these going on normal bicycle stock (which is still better than those cheap, rubbish plastic coated stuff which is only good for water XCM and general fun party tricks)?

In light of this (and strangely, no one has highlighted this point...), and more to the point of versatility... The borders should be white. The borders HAVE to be white......

I know not everyone uses them... But in order to open up possibilities for EVERYONE on this site, those who use double-blanks and blank-backs will benefit from having a white border. I'm thinking printing effects... Back disappearances... Colour-changing deck stuff (with other decks!)... Daniel Garcia's triumph routine... Those "OMG wasn't he/she using a blue/red deck before!" effects.

Yes, other colours may look good, flashy, whatever... But if we wanted to cater for versatility, I strongly suggest a white border.
The issue here is actually gonna end up Uniqueness VS Usability. Do we want and Exo deck to be unique and stand-out, or do we want it to be usable in terms of opening up all options for card magic?

Probably more so than ever. What with the site being completely legal, we don't have to worry about any publicity this brings, from anyone. So yeah, I'd say that this is still on.

Alright, the poll is closed! White came in first with 13 votes, with the other colours lagging pretty far behind. But remember, this result isn't necessarily final. Make some last statements, if there's an amazing reason why not to have white cards, make it known. I had voted for gray at the beginning, but now am leaning more towards white. So, I guess, only question left is: Is everyone happy with this result? Can we agree on white being the colour scheme? We'll wait maybe another day or two, so voice some opinions. This next "round" of thoughts will probably be the final choice.
