Not to start a battle or anything but I don't care much for these cards.
I was impressed with the idea of having a 'Bee' deck with white borders. 'Bee Stinger' cards also have nice white borders. When I pulled the cards out of the box, I noticed that the cards looked great but when I handled them they felt like Bicycle cards. I love the feel of 'Bee' cards and prefer to use them whenever possible. These RJRTC cards are thicker and stiffer than the 'Bee' cards I have. Now I am not saying that these are not good cards- they handle just like a new deck of Bicycle cards- I am saying that they are not what I expected. I will use the deck I opened and will probably just store the unopened ones away for a while. I may post some comparison photos of this deck, a Bicycle deck, and a 'Bee' deck if the pictures come out in a way to show the differences. I just bought a Canon T1i digital camera and am still trying to figure all the settings out.

Good idea haroldross,
Don't worry about what you say about the cards. You have a well thought out explanation of why you don't prefer these cards. Below are some pictures I have that are compared to other decks. The first picture you can see all the decks. You can completely tell the RJRTC's are much thicker as you said. Deck Order (left to right) * RJRTC Blue 'Watermelon' Bee * Bicycle Standard Red back * Bicycle Gold Seal Richard Turner Blue Back (Bee Stock) * Bee Standard Red Diamond Back * Bee Stinger Deck (Theory11) ![]() ![]() ![]()

Alex,
Thanks for posting those pictures. They clearly show the difference. The RJRTC cards are very similar to an *********** Bicycle Master's Edition Deck in thickness and feel.

Now, I also compared the RJRTC deck to the standard bee and Turner deck as well. They are almost identical height and thickness.
With that observation being said, it appears that they may all simply be on standard Bee stock and the standard Bee stock is generally 'thicker' then the basic bikes. Would you or anyone else agree? |
