Sam is right on with this tip.
The effect is amazing. One of my favorites to watch and perform. It's a extreme visual effect that I can only guarantee will be seen on a TV special at one point and time. This is worth it for the high impact visual aspect that meets the demand of a audience that wants that "TV" magic feel. -Jacob

Speaking of walmart...they had buy one get one free decks for cards there the other day.
I bought a bunch. But yes...I think Window is a great gimmick to spend the time building. When its done, you will feel like you can build any gimmick. And you will have SOOOO much fun performing it.

there are like 5 different thread all covering this effect. I n one of the thread haroldross mentions that he bought the dvd and gimmick. I may have taken it the wrong way but he seemed like it was a waste of money. I think it was mainly because they don't teach you moves they just tell you what moves to do to accomplish the effect.
If you do a search of the forum you will find a link of how to build the gimmick. All you really have to do is build it and you are set. Mine works and I don't own the dvd. |

I didn't mean to come across as it being a waste of money. I just expected a little more for my money. I purchased much of my tricks because I want to support the magic community. I personally would have done the DVD instruction quite differently. I love to teach magic one on one and work with younger magicians.
Since I have an engineering type of background I tend to be critical of what I see as inferior workmanship. The idea and effect are great- that is what you are actually paying for. Perhaps I should have said something to the effect, this trick and instruction is not intended for the person new to magic.

It's not really a card through window though. Everyone calls it that. Even the trailer for the dvd says its a visual card through window effect.
You never show the card coming through the window in any way (like Kaos). You wave your hand over a card that is taped on the other side of the glass and it changes to the chosen card. It is more of a color change through a window, or a tranpo through the window. //merged// I know what you meant. It just seems to me they could have used written instructions to get the same result and it would have been a little cheaper and more worth the price they would have charged you. if it were on paper they would have only charged like $30ish instead of $70
