Ok here it goes. Tell me if im right. I dont know if they updated the original fallen vid. THis is the original performance where he flashes "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5EKmSu-jcw"
Ok, look closely. When he starts rubbing the cards with the top card, he pushes all the cards beneath that behind it.So the first card still has all the cards beneath it, but since the short edge of the top card is touching the lower part, it looks like its on top. This is actually "maybe" a double, hence when he finishes, he pushes everything back squared on the deck and raises the first card which is the selection. You can see at the range of 1:22 that there are cards behind the "top" card. |

Ok, so he pushes cards back.....but which cards? Here's a dodgy visual ASCII representation of the card deck. (ignore the '_', the forum won't show my spaces) ___|-------| |-------| ___|-------| So the outjogged card is under a stack of cards, and over a stack of cards. Which stack does he push in? If he pushes in the bottom stack, the outjogged card will go down......if he pushes the top deck.....the card will go up, but it would be obvious. I know that the outjogged card isn't the chosen card, instead the chosen card is on the top of the deck (can be swapped with a top change). If you are saying all the cards between the top and outjogged card are pushed back.......how in the world is THAT done? AURON

Lol, yea....... and I was right about the method..... O.o.......... though I never thought it COULD actually work that way....
I guess D.Garcia knows how to add the subtleties to make it look real. Quote:

Yeah, but I have no way of paying for VIP right now so, hahah. Guess I'll have to wait.
Anyway the method is obvious, but I'm really curious to see how Garcia manages the angles. edit: Oh, I just saw it's upped in non-VIP downloads. Cool! Thanks anyway. |

I have the Fallen DVD and for the money the effect is okay...It's a cool effect and u don't need to use a gimmick. Only the angles are tricky but the effect is great. The whole DVD duration is about 30 minutes or so.... but it's a good trick for a good price...
