If it is a beautiful day, we will go for a walk like we usually do, this time around the lake on the trails. It will happen then and there if the day is nice. I do have backups, but they will be a week or so later.

needless to say, i think that the tarantula is a good idea, but its kinda ,mmeeehhh, so i think maybe you could do a bent coin routin but when rebending the coin switch it for the ring, i unno, just some ideas

My initial thought is to surprise her with the question, not the ring. If she's your practice "dummy", tell her you learned a new ring trick that you've been working on. In a practical way, say you go to a restaurant and make reservations, ask the waitress to wear the ring you want to give her, and when you are telling your fiance-to-be that you learned a new trick with rings, ask the waiter to "borrow" her ring, now, when she leasts expects it, you can get on your knee and ask her to spend the rest of her life with you. I'm 15, despite the uh, enormous "complexity" of my idea (ha-ha) it might not sound as good to you as it does to me. EDIT: I just read that you might go for a walk, so maybe ask a runner of someone beforehand to wear the ring instead?

By the way...its believed that someone else wearing the engagment ring before your bride to be is... "BAD LUCK."

Plus it makes it seem like your taking a ring off a waitress...hmmm.
I like the way you were trying to go Jamie....but I don't think it fits the event.

So yea, it all goes down tomorrow. Depending on weather of course.

We are both here at home (both exhausted, 6 hour drive yesterday, 12 hour drive starting this morning at 5 am...) But we made it, as did the ring. We are going to go for a walk tomorrow early in the day and it will happen there.

I may have leaked info via my Twitter account. I am a person who is just slightly over connected in some ways to the world. She doesn't do twitter, but I know she was on the other day looking at someone's chuck norris jokes on Twitter. She knows I use it but has always told me it was stupid, but now I am finding out that she may have seen what she was not supposed to have seen. If that is the case, I will be able to tell when I pull out my deck of cards for a trick. She will be too excited to hide it. I'll then do a magic trick and carry on, simply switching her current ring for the new one at a later time in the day. If she isn't expecting it, it will go as planned.

You all will be the first to hear about it besides my family here. Wish me luck!

Good luck Brother. My wife and I have been married going on 29 years. I tell her all the time, it's been the best 3 years of my life. Then she says, it's been the best 2 years of hers. Best advise I can give you is, understand your stuck with each other for life, so don't take life to serious and you'll have a great life together. I wish you both the best, Castermmt
