I'll get exo to choose his fave...but very unlikely.

I will most likely just take out the person with the least number of votes, and then follow until there are two, and then we will vote, and I doubt it will come out even each time...

If they are good enough they get printed or even you can print them.
But the contest is just for fun, except that the winner gets VIP Status and a few gaffs.

i think... there's a BIG misunderstanding about gaff cards...

In every forum i always see those threads:
"my gaffs .. please comment"
and all you get to see are some cards with different colors, shapes or another joker reveal etc

a GOOD gaff card HAS to make a certain trick possible

for example the "moving pips" cards out of the *********** gaffdeck...
that's a good gaff... (imho)
because it makes a beautiful effect possible...
with the help of those cards you can MOVE THE INK on a printed playing card..
that's MAGIC

what i am trying to say..
of course you can just apply some effects on the card ... add some letters..
print homer simpsons face instead of the face of a king...

then you have gaffcards... cards that look different...
but they are just modified cards... not more and not less..

IF you want to create a GOOD gaff..
FIRST think about an effect... THEN create the card..
NOT the other way around...

I want cards to help me making MAGIC possible...
cards that make STRONG EFFECTS possible...
effects that are not possible without the gaff...

a GAFF is only as good as the best effect you can perform with it!!!!

I first thought about something flat (like a coin) melting into the card. Which also is manipulating the ink on the card. For lay people at least... I mean, I tried to create something, which makes people enthusiastic, who don't believe in misprinted cards and also really know that they are gaffs and it's not magic happening in your hands.
I think everyone here has done good work and you should first read text for the actual effect before you tell us, we haven't make up the effect.
And another thing to mention, we are not professional magicians. We are not from *********** and we did not spend a year making up a gaff card as if we had nothing better to do. The Red Gaff Deck contains good gaffs and it contains useless gaffs. I have a Ghost Gaff Deck and many of the cards are worth nothing. A few are improvements of other tricks (e.g. Dream of Aces).
So you can't just expect of us making the best gaff you have ever seen.
Vote, if you want to, or leave it be, you don't need to.

well maybe i had chosen too hard words ;-)

I don't like those cards a lot (sorry, but that's my opinion) because i don't really like most of the effects(also ONLY MY opinion!!!!)

most of the cards are not really something new PLUS the effects are not worth using gaffs...

I DID read the effects...
what i've written mainly relates to "making gaff cards in general"


no i cant expect that you make perfect card but even though i CAN criticize them...

i know that you guys aren't pros... but this fact doesn't improve the cards...

I just mean, everyone has his own opinion and I can completely comprehend yours. But it's really not easy to come up with a great gaff. Gaffs are tools, just like gimmicks, they can be useful everywhere...
