Contest For Free Magic! - Liquid Metal

Do You Want to win FREE MAGIC? In celebration of my partnership with ExoMagic and the magic reviews that I'll be doing here on this website, I'm offering you a chance to win one of the DVD's that I've reviewed!

The contest rules are as follows: You have until May 13th at Midnight Eastern time to film and upload a short video of you performing a single mentalism style effect. The video can be uploaded to your favorite video sharing website of choice such as youtube, and all entries should reply with their link in this thread.

We're looking for both creativity and presentation. Your video will be judged by our panel of three judges made up of Austin Fields, Alex Hess, and myself.

Please Note: Your videos don't have to be a performance video for someone else. You can perform just for the camera if you wish, or go all out and film yourself performing for a spectator. It's your choice!

We'll announce the winner LIVE May 14th at 11pm Eastern time in ExoMagic TinyChat. If you can't make the live announcement then check back here to this thread, we'll also post the winner here too!

The prize this time is the copy of Penguin Magic's Liquid Metal by Morgan Strebler, a full how to when it comes to metal bending.

I'll be doing a new product review each week, posting them on Fridays around noon eastern time. Seriously it is a chance to practice in a safe environment - without worrying about reveals or screwing up! Think of the rest of the crew as your coaches.

We are all cheering for you as it is hard to throw rotten veggies at you on the internet - If you feel really bad about that you can tell us where to mail fresh dog doody!

I may have to go get a decent camera!

Please note:

I've changed some of the wording in the contest to add clarity.

We are grading on creativity and Presentation.

You can perform just for the camera only, or for a live spectator. It's your choice.

We've also extended the deadline by one week. The new due date is Midnight on the 13th. With the announcement of the winner being posted the following day. We'll also post the winner here in this thread.

After being in deliberation for quite a long time, It has been the decision of our panel of judges including guest celebrity judge Las Vegas mentalist Paul Draper that NONE of the videos submitted fit the original criteria of being creative or strong in presentation.

Therefor we will not be awarding the prize of Morgan Streblers Liquid Metal DVD.

Instead we will be offering to ALL three contest participants who submitted a video one of the following; a 10 to 15 minute Skype Phone Call, 10 to 15 minute Telephone Call, or email coaching session with Las Vegas celebrity mentalist Paul Draper.

Paul will work with each of the people who submitted a video on improving their act, give them pointers on improving their mentalism, amping up their creativity, and give them some solid performance critiques.

We as Exomagic staff will then postpone this contest, and set up a NEW date and time for submissions. I'll expect to see a new video submitted from each of our current participants. We'll judge the re-submitted videos based on the above mentioned criteria and award the DVD for Liquid Metal and something else cool (To Be Announced) to the winner.

Talk about a contest that just got taken to the next level! Only through Exomagic do we put you in contact with the material and pros you need to succeed!
