That's were i got mine from.
I built it for under 25 bucks and it works great! From what I have seen it works exactly like the Electric Touch and seems to have the same strength. So, if you are interested in this type of magic then build it! Much cheaper. :) |

Ok so after much avail (many hours of research) I've only found one site that has this vital component, the "12VDC Negative Ion Generator". If anyone knows a better way to get it, please post back!!
![]() the url, Negative Ion Air Purification Systems It's $30.00 but even so, this and a few other parts will not cost $178.00 like the "electric touch". I'm going to make this soon and I'll post back. You'll see it when you scroll down a bit to the "For Negative Ions Operating at 12VDC" section of the page. |

The trick is finding the specific unit 12VDC (12 voltz DC). Some electrician jargon about how DC power is less dangerous for some reason. Thanks much for reply tho and if anyone else finds a better deal than 30.00 that'd be awesome. |

Dan,
After further investigation, the needed parts (the generator) are now discontinued. The site I linked once had the generator you are looking for. Maybe you can call them and ask about it and they can direct you in the right way. Also look into these sites... Pranks, Jokes, Gags, Magic Magic

Is what bad for your health?
Will what hurt you? You will have to be more specific I'm Afraid. But Electric Touch is NOT bad for you "health." Neither is a glass of red wine a day. But I am not a medical doctor. -Jacob

if you or the person the trick is done to have a pace maker i would say it is not a good idea to turn the gimmick on.

On the original electrifried site, he advises that you don't do it to anyone with a pacemaker. But other than that, it is not harmful. However, you do feel the same effects as your audience member.
I built this a year ago and it works fine. However, as has been already mentioned, the 12VDC generator seems to have been discontinued. If anyone can find a 12VDC generator anywhere, I strongly recommend building this, as it is an amazing device, and the original is way overpriced. |

I tried to put this together a while ago.
I was so eager I ordered two 12vAc on purpose planning to build two. Didn't realize I needed DC until it was in my hands. One of the most depressing moments I have ever had while opening something I ordered in the mail.
