Thank you button - Added to every post

Hello everyone,

I was speaking with David in TinyChat today and he was mentioning how he wasn't sure how to thank people with good posts. So... we decided to add 'Thank You' buttons to every post.

What does this mean? Means you only post relevant stuff. If someone makes a good post, and you have nothing to say but thank you, hit the button! It stops spam from building up on our board and it helps build points.

Remember, when you use the 'Thank You' button, you still receive credit and forum 'points' as if it was a post.

I think you technically you mean every THREAD!

Which is really cool, in my opinion. As the credit goes to who made the contribution (potentially the originator of the post and the later contributor can share in the greatness and bask in the warm glory!)

Maybe some guidance in this area would be a good idea though? A thanks is a thanks - there is no level of degree as there is with the hide post.

I made the comment in another post that Jacob was handing them out like candy (not to throw seeker in front of a bus or anything!) - And you just said you'd rather not see that.

So... What is your vision on the perfect Exomagic "Thank You" ?

Hmmm,

Well, basically, I don't want to see a new user just thanking tons.. but there really isn't a way to prevent this. We never truly know if the thank you was to boost their points or to actually thank the user.

I have edited the main thread and taken that out, you are right.... It may cause confusion.
