Forum Update - New Additions

Hello Team,

I have been working diligently behind the scene to update ExoMagic to its highest standard that we all expect. I have been working on the style, coding, modifications, security, and some extra little perks for everyone.

Below is a list of updates I have done:

1. Updated the "Remember Me" field so it remembers user settings. Modified the "remember me" to "Save" so the text will not run off the border.
2. There was a glitch on the below pages which had a style-error. The pages would display uneven and out-of-style.
   • Logout Page
   • Password Reset page
   • Any error pages
   • Forgot Password Page
3. Added 2 new fields to display on the forum-threads. Please read towards the end of this post for a review on how to utilize this.
4. Added 4 different anti-spam methods to ensure bots are not registering and posting. This will help speed the server load time up for non-abusive members.
5. Resolved email issues. All members should be able to receive emails from the site, for example:
   • Thread subscription updates
   • Forgot password
   • Email user
   • User-verification
   • Contact forum staff
6. One of the steps to resolve out spamming issue was to move to an email-verification system. Now all new users will be required to verify their email. However a step on the brighter side is moderators will not have to approve accounts any longer

This is a small informative post on how you can update your two new user-fields located in your user control panel settings.

Go to "User CP" and click on "Edit Profile". Scroll towards the bottom of the page and you will see the two fields.

Hey, those Double lifts are insanely hard to get down. I'd say on a scale of one to ten, it's a 9. Chad Nelson's Clipshift, of course, is only a four.

Also, is it odd that I didn't notice any of these so called "glitches" (With the exception of the bots)? I guess I don't pay too much attention.

Just some things that I noticed EVERY time I logged in.... I wanted users here to have a flawless experience and not have to 'ghetto' anything. I want things to work like a fined tuned clock. When someone comes to ExoMagic, I want them to say "Damn, this site is awesome and everything just flows.... not like X site".

Looking forward to some more responses.
