Reporting the spam!

Hello everyone

Recently tehre has been quite a lot of spam on the boards. I'll let you in on some of my closely guarded information in recognising a spammer so that some of you can report it to us if you suspect anything.

Recognizing a spammer by name.
There are several different ways to recognize a spammer, just throught there username. At the bottom of our forum index there is a list of users that have been on today. Look at the names there. I'll use 2 as an example: UCMichael and HXBrandon. Today i deleted 5 spam posts from HXBrandon. These name settings are popular with spambots. 2 Upper Case letters, followed by a name starting with an Upper Case letter. Also, another common method is to have a string of words together with capital letters for the start of each word, like "GardenWorld" advertisement name.

IF YOU SEE A SUSPICIOUS NAME, REPORT IT TO A MODERATOR OR ADMINISTRATOR!

Reporting spam posts.

If you see a spam post, or one which falls below ExoMagic's posting quality, report it by clicking the exclamation mark button "!" at the bottom of the post. We get a message inthe staff area alerting us of the reported posts, and we take acton from there.

Together, we can beat spam.
