WHAT ARE STREAMING PRODUCTS?

ExoMagic has teamed up with some of the biggest names in magic to offer internet video streaming of specific Products to you. This enables the viewing of our Products directly on a PC or Mac. Think of the service we offer as a form of Netflix Watch Instantly but for DVDs we sell.

In its simplest form, video is streamed to the user using standard PC hardware, and requires Adobe Flash to be installed. Viewing is initiated by pressing the "Play" button, and played back on the PC monitor. Videos can be paused or restarted at will.

GLOBAL CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORK:

All of our Videos are on a Content Delivery Network (CDN). A CDN is a network of computers at different locations that serve data to client computers (Customers).

This means that someone in Europe watching a video will get their content delivered from a European server, and someone in Asia will get their content delivered from an Asian server. This allows you to sell globally and have content be delivered from the closest server to the Customer.

Our Products are streamed from the following locations:
North America: Los Angeles (2), San Jose, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Ashburn, New York
Europe: London (2), Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam
Asia: Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore
Australia: Sydney

That is correct, but they will be streamed over the internet, not an actual download. Once the purchase is made you are linked to a video and can stream it over the web securely.

Forgive me for the scepticism, but I am a little worried. How safe will the streamed video be if, say, ExoMagic (God forbid) were to go bust? I mean, isn't it putting a lot of trust in a business to have them govern when and how we can learn magic? I'm not saying you guys would rip us off or anything, but in the event of anything going wrong, I think I'd prefer to have the files on my hard disk to be honest.

As part of exo magic, I can assure you we simply plan on exploding around 2012. We don't plan on governing when and where, I believe the files to be open whenever you can access them. But there are advantages to having a copy, and under your point. I would hope their is a download option as well. But I'll let alex talk about that one

To my knowledge there is no download option. This is a system similar to what you see at D&D. We don't govern when and where you watch the videos, but yes, if our website is down you are unable to watch the video.

With that being said, we are not going anywhere. Big plans in the future, and a lot is going on in the background that every-day users don't get to be included on. The products will be fairly prices for what they are setup as. I don't believe they will be full DVDs, only single effects/tricks.

More details will be revealed in the near future as this develops a bit more.

Note: Keep in mind, we are not getting rid of our actual DVDs or any other products. This streaming option is simply another venue for others to learn from.
