Good, glad to get your attention

I have been keeping an eye on ExoMagic's traffic, and we have a startling decrease of %20 over the past 2 months. That is over 5,000 users a month, big number.

I want to know, what can we do better as a forum. Is it the design? Is it the staff? Is it the website? Is it the name?

ExoMagic wants your thoughts, good or bad.

so, please post - What do you want to see better/new at ExoMagic?

Hi. I'm not sure what's the take on this. However, I find that there is little discussion on new tricks or to-be-released tricks.

Anyway by discussion, I meant people writing their opinions on how a particular trick is done. I don't mean revealing the creator's work here. I mean what you yourself think its done or how you will do to achieve that. (maybe to prevent that we can talk about effects that are not up yet?)

But to prevent people from accessing it by just googling about it, maybe a sub-forum can be created for this be placed in the Academy section?

I don't know what happened? Everyone just disappeared and I don't know what to make of it...

There was a core group that was constantly on and active and they all just drifted off somewhere.

I miss the former activity and hope everyone finds their way back.

Hey Alex,

I think the layout of the website is very well done, and you also have some of the best prices out there for a lot of the new magic effects, as well as magic items in general.

There were a couple posts I read in a thread when Dan & Dave's Smoke and Mirrors v4 were being released, it seemed a majority had just never heard of your really great online magic store. I'm not certain as to how long you have been up and running, but when competing to other well known online magic stores, and since humans are creatures of habit, they always stick to a web service they have already worked with for a number of years.

A couple of things I was thinking to do to help you, and Exo Magic in general, is to try and spread the word a little more, but in a subtle way that does not show deliberate spam advertising.

There are a couple of places where I perform that have a somewhat good sized group of individuals who really want to get into Magic, but don't know where they should go to get started. So if I was able to obtain some business cards, I know I can go through them pretty quickly by letting them know that you are a very well respected, honest and compassionate online Magic store owner and to pick up what's going to help jump start their interest in magic.

Another good idea I thought of (or at least I hope it's a good idea) is to have some sort of beginner magic starter kit, or a DVD that really showcases some of the basic effects as well as knowledge to get them started. The reason I bring this up is because I really do run into kids or the parents of their children and want to know what they should do to help them get into magic, and just other magic questions in general.

Since it was your website that allowed me to obtain a brand new, unopened deck of Brown Wynn Casino cards, and also ordering some of the new Smoke & Mirrors v4 decks, I can honestly tell and say, you really are trying your absolute best to give back to the magic community, which is why I want to help you anyway that I can.

Wow, that's a big number Alex, i am sorry to hear that.
I have been here for almost a year now and i have loved it since, i found it after looking forever on Google, now a simple search for the Tarantula Gimmick on google brings you to here.
I agree the store is greatly done, some of the best prices on the net and the V4 smoke and mirrors has maybe got us some extra visitors, but how many actually stayed.
What you have done Alex is simply beautiful, we now have some more well-known famous magicians as a part of Exomagic, but there will always be a little bit of a bump, maybe making many Youtube videos on the Exomagic Channel by different members maybe e-mailing you things like perfgormances or Tutorials could get us more members of course after a while.
I completely think that the DVDis a brilliant idea, however may take a lot of work.

I am new to your site after placing several orders. The customer service I received was incredible and I figured I'd stick around.

Some thoughts on design...... or not, after a long search around my new laptop.


I had a paper about running a magic website that I had written for a marketing class. I am house sitting currently but I will find it (have to run home and get my nerdy blackarmour hard drive) and hopefully get it to you in a day or so.


One thing I have noticed is the forum is not too large. I think some more sections may be a good idea. I do not know what the academy holds though...

Once you have access to the Academy you will see that ExoMagic does have a ton more to offer to its members.

But, I have an idea, Just1pin and I were chatting last nite on ExoMagic.com - Live Video Chat >> Learn.Teach.Evolve and we got to discussing ExoMagic gear. It's not too expensive and I know that I want a shirt that says ExoMagic on it. If we can get some shirts or cards made with the ExoMagic name on them and send them out to members to hand out at lectures it could be pretty good, not too expensive advertising.

Alex make sure we talk about this next time we are both on MSN.
