Ok-

I work at a recycling plant and we have the oddest things in the world come through here. I kid you not, we have magnets we retrieved from old hard drives so big that I can climb walls with them... They will easily support my 180 pounds, the real trick is separating the silly things from the metallic surface they have attached to! LOL

I took the smaller magnets from a regular hard drive and made my own m5 kit...
If you take the thin 'mylar' security tabs from a cd or software package apart and use the them for a shim you can 'gimmick' just about anything. The shims are super thin but you are better off using a washer if the piece you are working allows for it as the hold is that much better.

I mixed some iron ferrite with magi wax to make a pretty wicked version of magnetic wax... so then I can borrow a dollar bill and after covertly attaching some wax to it I can grab it with my magnet. That is so outside their train of thought that it pretty much melts the speculators little minds. LOL
