Exile thoughts
I've had this effect for a while now and have had much success with it! The cool thing about close-up magic is that not only are you in the world of your spectators but you are in an intimate space and even more so when you put writing on their hand. I believe this really makes the spectator feel like the star, which is an optimal situation!
I have never had anyone ever complain about having me write on their hand and actually feel flattered that I'm involving them to that degree.
It's true, the Gimmick is relatively easy to make and I carry mine safely in a coin pouch. You do have to be careful about knocking off one of the *s as it's tough to get them to stick well. I found a bit of acetone on the ***** first to clean it helped grately.
I keep "Part B" in a TT in my R Vest pocket, which makes it super accessable, although any pocket would do.
I found that keeping "Part B" in the TT and then putting that in a small baggy and then in an airtight jar in the Fridge is the best way to keep the stuff from drying out. It does dry out after about a month.
I do have one complaint. When I purchase an effect, I like to have free use of it for as long as I wish without having to go back and buy more "product" from the seller to keep it going. I understand there are "expendables" , if you will, even in our craft, such as loops, rope, impression pads etc... But having to pay $15.00 for 3 more of "Part B" kinda goes against my grain. Granted, Theory 11 did a GREAT job with this effect! BUT instead of forcing us to come back to them every time we need to re-up, it would be great if they could just tell us What Part B is, so we could buy it in bulk.
I would be inclined to purchase more, knowing I'm being taken care of as a valuable customer. I DO love the effect and have even bought the extra "stuff", I use it so much!.
If anyone knows what "Part B" is I would love to hear from you.
