Have you ever tried 'Europeon' A La Mode -w- your pie?
In the U.S.A. we consider A La Mode to be Ice Cream -w- the Pie.
But in Europe 'A La Mode' means having melted cheese on top of the pie.
It may sound gross but it's actually very good.
For example;
I like to melt a piece of cheddar cheese slice on top of a good cherry pie -w- a quick zap in the microwave. The pie is warm, sweet & tangy with the melted cheese to enhance the flavors.
I wash it down with some ice cold milk.
It's very tasty i.m.o.
