Segachtek: I'm sorry about the card back complexity, I misunderstood. I feel that you're right about the Bicycle deck being good. Perhaps rather than one bike rider we can have 4 horsemen? (I know I'm supporting the 4H a lot...it's because I think it's great!) We then keep the complex simplicity of the bikes with the great imagery of 4H...just an idea.
Also, about the "deeper personal meaning," I find that if somebody WERE to look in a drawer in 50 years time, I'd rather them say "that is so awesome" than "that WAS so cool." Thousands of years from when it was conceived, we still say great things about Greek mythology, the sheer imagination and skill involved in its creation. The last thing I want them to say is "That was made by ExoMagic trying to promote their non-existent "deeper meaning." Weren't they stupid? They're just reformed pirates!" It's WAY more important to HIT HARD rather than have meaning. Then, the REAL card worker can get some usage!

Cornman: I agree; perhaps full 3D is a bit overdoing it. I think you've misunderstood me about the symbolism; I'm trying to say that there is NO symbolism we can put there without making it look corny (no offence). I agree that we need to have something that looks cool despite meaning nothing! Only THEN can it be effective.
